Ladies & Gents Brand Name Watches

One of the things we love at Beautiful things is the joy of finding beautifully unique watches with stylishly original designs. Of course we also have more traditionally styled watches because sometimes "uniquely you" is traditionally beautiful.

Most of these watches are not ones you'd be likely to find in the popular discount stores or at the prices you'd pay for them in the big name department stores (thank goodness!). These are gorgeous, unusual, sparkling, uniquely lovely watches at greatly reduced prices.

To make sure you get a watch you're going to love I recommend you measure your wrist before buying. The band length is given in the description of each of these watches. Tiny wrist? Don't buy a watch with an 8.5 inch watch band. Stocky bones? Stay away from watches described as having a 5.5-6.5 inch band length. Buy a watch that you can comfortably and beautifully wear every time you put it on.

Cuff style watch bands are a personal favorite of mine because of their comfort, versatility and the easy-on/easy off styling for those of us who actually have to do things like...dishes.

DEFINITIONS:

- CHRONOGRAPH WATCH: An electronic watch that also has a stop-watch function. Chronograph watches may either be digital or use watch hands.

- MECHANICAL WATCH: Traditional style watch with a mainspring. These do not have a battery and must be wound. They may be "Hand Wound" (the owner manually winds the watch usually once a day) or "Automatic".

- AUTOMATIC WATCH: A mechanical watch that winds itself as the wearer moves their arm. They may also be referred to as a "self-winding" or "perpetual" watches. Both hand wound and automatic mechanical watches are becoming increasingly popular again. They are stylish, accurate and have no batteries to wear out.

Most of the watches at Beautiful Things are battery operated with quartz crystal movement unless otherwise specified in the definition. We will be adding more mechanical watches to our inventory as we they become more available.
